ペルー共和国北部 San Martin サン マルティン県 [5つの district 市・町の1つ] Pachiza のコミューン Bagazan で、オロプーシェウイルス感染症 [オロプーシェ熱] Oropouche fever が発生し、疫学週 (EW) 23週 [6-12 Jun 2010]現在、患者数は合計 282人 (疑い 241人、検査確認された 41人)。

[昆虫綱ハエ目 Ceratopogonidae ヌカカ科 Culicoides属の] ヌカカ [糠蚊]の1種 Culicoides paraensis の存在がオロプーシェ熱の発生している Bagazan 地区で確認された。

The Oropouche virus exists in nature in 2 cycles, the wild and urban-epidemic cycles. In the wild cycle, wildlife such as primates [霊長類], sloths [ナマケモノ], and certain arthropods [ある種の節足動物] serve as reservoirs, with the flies acting as vectors. In the urban epidemic cycle, the infection cycle remains vector-man-vector, with the human being [ヒト] acting as the principal host.

ペルー共和国では、Oropouche virus オロプーシェウイルスは 1992年、[北部 ロレート県 県都]イキトス Iquitos で発熱患者から初めて検出された。本ウイルスは 1994年、アマゾン地帯の南東地域で流行した。
ペルー共和国保健省は北部 San Martin サン マルティン県 (州に相当) Mariscal Caceres の Pachica district [市・町] コミューン Bagazan において、オロプーシェウイルス感染症 [オロプーシェ熱] Oropouche fever の感染者が2010年5月下旬、160人を超えたことを Director General of Epidemiology (DGE) 疫学事務局の報告を受けて知った。
[オロプーシェ熱発生による患者のうち、] 男性 48%, 女性 52%。年齢別では、10歳以下 31%, 11-20歳 23%, 21-30歳 27%, 31-40歳 13%, 41歳以上 6%。学校欠席者は多数 (約 68人)。
Oropouche ウイルスは、主に[ヌカカ科の] 吸血性小昆虫 Culicoides paraensis によって媒介。ウイルス感染時の症状はデング熱に似ている (突然発症、頭痛、食欲低下、筋肉痛、関節痛、嘔吐)。一部患者で無菌性髄膜炎の臨床像を来たすが、適時の治療で[今回の発生では]重症例は報告されていない。
現在、保健省疫学事務局 DGE of the Ministry of Health [MINSA] は積極的に症例調査も行っている。患者検体の検査を依頼し (国立保健研究所)、感染者 16人 (採取検体総数 26件中 61%)はウイルス感染陽性であった。
サン マルティン地域保健局は治療支援と調査のため、Juanjui病院と Pachiza Health Post の医療従事者を発生地へ派遣した。さらに感染症専門家も治療のために派遣した。また、Juanjui病院と Pachizaの医療施設に麻酔薬と抗菌薬を供給した。一方、DGEは San Martin DIRESAの疫学局と共同で発生の追跡調査を行っている。

ペルー共和国北部 San Martin サン マルティン県 [5つの district 市・町の1つ] Pachiza のコミューン Bagazan で、オロプーシェウイルス感染症 [オロプーシェ熱] Oropouche fever が流行している。数週間続き、状況は改善していないが、保健省による対策はない。同県の県都 Juanjui の保健局関係者は緊急事態宣言を要求し、Pachiza の行政トップは 同コミューン内の”野戦”病院設置を要求しているが、どれも実施されていない。感染者 (200人超)は増加している。

本疾患はアマゾン Amazonas [[当ブログ投稿者注： "アマソナス県"も同じ名称です]] での不明熱の主因で、流行するが重大な転帰にならない病気である。ヌカカ科亜科 Culicoides paraensis が媒介する Oropouche virus は ブニヤウイルス属 Bunyavirus に属し、名前の由来は トリニダード・トバゴの主島 Trinidad Island の川の名前。
