Authorities in the Dominican Republic have shut off water supplies in a western region after lab tests revealed they were contaminated with cholera, officials said Thu 30 Dec 2010.
At least 139 cholera cases have been reported in the Dominican Republic, most of them along border towns.

コレラ菌感染者 82人のうち、75人は完全回復し、日常の仕事に復帰している。
現在、7人のみ入院中で、病状は安定しているので、今週末に退院予定 (保健省発表 [23 Dec 2010])。また、5州で他に 9人のコレラ患者がみつかったと追加発表。

最も新しい症例 2人は ハイチとの国境を有する Elias Pina エリアス・ピーニャ州の患者。
It [, Public Health Ministry,] said Santiago [サンティアゴ州] and Santo Domingo [サント・ドミンゴ州 /首都地区 DNではない] have reported the most cases, with a Dominican farmer, 53, and a Haitian, 23, the most recent, being treated in the hospital at Banica and in stable condition.

In Dominican Republic, the Minister of Health reported that as of 28 November, there were 9 laboratory confirmed cases of cholera. One laboratory-confirmed case is imported; the other 8 are from Santo Domingo Este (4), Navarrete (3) and Santo Domingo Norte (1) municipality.
