Both CCHF and dengue fever are endemic in Pakistan with seasonal rise in cases. However, recently, the transmission of both CCHF and dengue fever has intensified in the country with increased incidence and geographic expansion. The recent floods in Pakistan may have contributed to this upsurge as a result of changes in risk factors for these diseases.

パキスタンの Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever CCHF クリミア・コンゴ出血熱の風土病地域である Baluchistan バルチスタン [関係 3か国のうち、現パキスタンでは西南の Balochistan バローチスターン州のこと。州都クエッタ] 以外の地域 [イスラマバード首都圏, カイバル パクトゥンクワ州, パンジャーブ州など]の CCHF 患者(15 Sep 2010 以降)は診断確定症例 3人のみ(うち、2人死亡)。

1. パキスタン北西部 Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa カイバル パクトゥンクワ州 Mansehra 県の医師 38歳、男性。
同州 Abbottabad アボタバード県および Shangla シャングラ (district)県 Besham 町など、全県で働いていた。

2010年9月23日、脳出血で死亡 [アボタバード県の病院 Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH)]。CCHF陽性確認。

2. 30歳、男性 (パンジャーブ州 Rawalpindi ラーワルピンディー県 Kahuta 区[Tehsil, subdivision])
ラーワルピンディー市の病院 Holy Family Hospital (HFH)で死亡 (28 Sep 2010)。

3. 35歳、女性 (パンジャーブ州 Attock アトック県[District] )

首都イスラーマーバードにある病院 Shifa International Hospital に HFH から転院 [16 Sep 2010] 後、退院した (23 Sep 2010)。

他に、CCHF検査陽性者は、病院 HFH のスタッフ 計 8人。

「女性医師 4人、看護師 2人、看護実習生 1人、ward boy [病棟助手] 1人」
患者血液への暴露について、はっきりせず、また高熱、血小板減少なく、ウイルス学者による再検討を求めている。

バローチスターン州 (の州都 クエッタ)は CCHF風土病地域で 2000年以降、毎年の感染患者は 50人を超え、このうち 10%未満の患者は死亡する。2010年も いつもの CCHF発生はあるが、現時点では報告はない。

Quetta [the capital of Baluchistan province] has experienced the usual outbreaks of CCHF this year [2010] peaking in June and September but we have so far not been able to get a report from them. We expect that, similar to every year since 2000, they have experienced more than 50 cases with less than 10 percent deaths. They have promised a full report tomorrow.
