アイルランド共和国では国内全域で、近年最大規模の duck egg アヒルの卵(摂取)による食中毒が発生し、サルモネラ感染症
サルモネラ属菌 Salmonella enterica 血清型 Typhimurium DT (definitive phage type [ファージ型]) 8
の患者 計24人。
最新の診断患者は個人農場(裏庭で飼っている)のアヒルの卵が関係する傾向にある。
