バングラデシュ人民共和国 首都 Dhaka ダッカの北西 134 km にある Sirajganj シラジガンジ県(District) の 3村で、病気の複数頭の牛を食肉処理し、その牛肉を食べてから 3週が経ち、炭疽菌感染患者 約 88人となった。Shahjadpur (区 subdistrict, upazila) の Chithulia で最初の患者が発見され、その後、Kamarkhand 区(sub-district) Dhopakandi 村 (32人)および Belkuchi 区 Adachaki 村 (15人)で発生した。
Chithulia 41人の状態は治療後、改善している。

Sirajganj シラジガンジ県(District) 約 89人、隣県 Pabna 県(首都 ダッカの西 約 216 km) 約 23人、少なくとも 計 112人が患畜の肉を食べ、炭疽菌に感染した疑いあり (保健当局発表 [23 Aug 2010])。

バングラデシュ人民共和国 北西部 ラジシャヒ管区 Sirajganj シラジガンジ県(District) Shahjadpur (区 subdistrict, upazila)で炭疽菌に汚染した牛肉に暴露した少なくとも 38人が発病。患者の一部は汚染ビーフを食べた可能性がある (区保健局)。
首都 Dhaka ダッカの医療チーム 2班が同地域に入った [20 Aug 2010]。
地元の情報源によると、Chithulia 村で2010年7月27日、病気の畜牛 2頭を食肉処理し、牛肉は 安い料金で村人たちに販売された。感染した村人たちが近くの区 health complex の診療所 (civil surgeon’s office) を受診した(警報を出した)。
