インド北東部 Assam アッサム州 Nalbari ナルバーリー県 Barkuriha 村の74歳男性は高熱のため 医科大学病院 Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) に入院後、Japanese encephalitis [JE] 日本脳炎 と診断された(死亡)。同県では初めての発生。
同村の住民 他 1人も同病院で治療を受けている。
