野良牛 (雌牛 stray cow) 1頭が、[インド西海岸] Goa ゴア州の bus stand バス・スタンド近くで立っていた人々を襲い [水曜日朝 14 Jul 2010]、15人が負傷した。
[同州 North Goa 北ゴア県] Bicholim (Bicholim Municipal Council BMC) 市の Animal Rescue Squad (ARS) 動物救助隊隊員と一緒に同市職員が牛を捕まえたが、狂犬病のためその後、牛は死んだ。この牛は 1匹の狂犬病のイヌに咬まれたことが後で分かった。Bicholim 市の住民は管轄権のある BMC当局に野良牛と野良犬を管理するよう求めた。

In cattle, laryngeal paralysis can cause a change in vocalizations,including an abnormal bellow, and pronounced difficulty in swallowing,leading their handlers to suspected an obstruction of theirpharynx/esophagus and try checking their mouth to remove the (virtual)obstructing object. This is how these humans are exposed to infection.
