マヤロ熱 Mayaro fever は南アメリカ[の熱帯地域]のウイルス性[動物原性]感染症であり、ベネズエラ[・ボリバル共和国] Venezuela では 2000年、初めてヒト感染症の発生がみられた。
Portuguesa ポルトゥゲーサ州の村落での発生により、2010年6月4日までに、マヤロウイルス感染症の累積患者数は 77人 (死亡例なし)となった [わずか 3日前の前報(同年6月1日) 69人から 8人増加した]。
