アルテミシニン耐性熱帯熱マラリアの予防と治療
WHOは、合併症のないマラリア患者の標準的第一選択治療として、ACT (artemisinin-based combination therapy アルテミシニンをベースにした併用療法)を勧告している。
アルテミシニン または アルテミシニン誘導体の1つと、異なるクラスの抗マラリア薬 1種類以上との併用。
2008年、カンボジア、タイ両国間の国境沿いで、アルテミシニン誘導体 artesunate に耐性の熱帯熱マラリア病原体の存在が確認された。
