インドネシア共和国バリ州 [バリ島北部] Buleleng ブレレン県ブレレン郡

の1村 Pemaron Village で女子生徒が狂犬病の猫 1匹に咬まれて死亡した。
バリ州の公式記録では、ヒトの狂犬病死 50人目である (非公式では 79人目)。
現時点で、猫の狂犬病予防接種はわずかな件数である。

Pemaron 村 (ブレレン郡 Buleleng sub-district)の[13歳の女子]中学生 1人が狂犬病のネコ 1匹に咬まれて、死んだ。同村の周囲で複数の狂犬病のイヌが見つかっているので、村で 犬のワクチン接種を 3回行った。また、70匹を殺処分した。
ネコやサルが原因で死亡することはまれなので、Buleleng Animal Husbandry はバリ州のAnimal Husbandry(畜産)と一緒に同村の調査を行う予定である [17 May 2010]。
生徒を咬んだネコは、他の猫とけんかをしていた。父親は直ぐに、[狂犬病の]ネコを殺したが、家族の飼い猫がそのネコと争った (人になれた猫 4-5匹を飼っている)。
